6. RESOURCES

1. Picture reference

  • Picture reference with timecode burn and/or 2-pop at 00:59:58:00

  • Include audio mixdown from picture sequence as a guide track

  • 2-pop should have visual and audible reference in OMF/AAF, guide track, and picture ref

  • Preferred codec: ProRes 422 Proxy

2. OMF or AAF

  • OMF or AAF with 10 second/300 frame handles

  • Maintain all volume automation but discard any rendered audio effects

  • Audio can be embedded or separate. AAFs tend to be more stable when audio is separate. OMFs tend to be more stable when audio is embedded.

  • Please note that OMFs have a 2GB file size limitation. If OMF export is over 2GB, separate and export a few tracks at a time (OMF 1 includes tracks 1-4, OMF 2 includes tracks 5-12, etc).

3. Full length WAV or AIFF of any music tracks

  • Full length WAVs or AIFFs of all music tracks.

  • If available, request music splits from composer/music house.

  • If MP3's were cut into sequence, please replace with WAV/AIFF prior to OMF/AAF export.

4. Room tone

  • Please include any room tone captured on set in a separate folder.

5. OpTIONALS

  • In some cases, it may be helpful to include all raw production audio and production sounds logs, as well as any corresponding transcripts that may have been made for editorial. If your project contains dialogue edits that you are concerned about, please go ahead and send along these files so we can have more options for dialogue editorial.
