We are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive office manager to join our team and help keep operations running smoothly while contributing to the success of our projects and supporting colleagues as needed. Big plus for service industry / fine dining / host & server experience. This is an opportunity to maintain and own the responsibility to maintain a well designed creative environment.

About the company:
MFD is an artist-owned video finishing studio specializing in color, sound design/mix, finishing/VFX and online/conform. Located in San Francisco's vibrant Mission District, we have a busy calendar of clients from production companies to ad agencies to filmmakers and documentarians. We've come together in one facility to help our clients' projects look and sound amazing.

Office Manager Responsibilities:
The responsibilities for this role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Daily studio upkeep (kitchen, trash, tidying up, keeping supplies and equipment organized)

  • Client services support (setting up food & coffee spreads, coordinating lunch orders, coffee runs, regular check-ins to keep our clients happy and taken care of)

  • Administrative support (answering calls, greeting clients and visitors, tracking expenses, tracking and ordering supplies, office equipment maintenance)

  • Office design/upkeep (managing improvement of the office space for workplace efficiency and aesthetic)

  • Social media management (publishing weekly content to company socials, possibly managing website content)

Qualifications:

  • B.A. or equivalent experience

  • Experienced in customer/client services, with a knack for going above and beyond to make clients feel at ease and taken care of

  • An excellent written & verbal communicator

  • Highly-organized

  • An excellent multi-tasker, able to set and manage priorities in a busy environment

  • A proactive self-starter

  • Able to maintain a happy, warm, professional demeanor under stressful situations
    Experience with the post-production process is a plus, but not required

Priority will go to candidates with at least 1-2 years professional customer service experience. However, this could be an introductory role for someone with the right skills and talent to build connections and learn more about the post/finishing world.
